Mark Nesbitt

Mark started his singing life as a pop singer-songwriter armed with an acoustic guitar and loop pedal. Regularly gigging since the age of 15, Mark caught the musical bug fairly early on and developed this both through live gigs and in education, achieving a Degree in Music at Canterbury University. Mark has always had eclectic tastes inclusive of choral, pop, soul, Motown and much more, and since the early days Mark has been undertaking solo projects as well as being a part of a number of bands, most notably the SoulTrippers and the Milestones Big Band.

 

Mark regularly sings as part of the Milestones Big Band for that authentic jazz sound, singing all the rat pack favourites as well as big band arrangements of modern pop classics. The broad range of material and fun atmosphere at gigs has been a great learning curve and overall experience for Mark over the years, but most of all has been an absolute joy.

 

Mark has been a member of SoulTrippers for almost 10 years. As part of the SoulTrippers Mark utilises his soulful voice to sing songs by the likes of James Brown, Jackson 5, Billy Paul and Jackie Wilson. But also contributes to the collective harmonies across a range of Motown and Soul sounds.
